Antique 55C Atwater Kent 55 C Kiel Table Console Radio
A classic radio for your collection! Here we have a great old Vacuum Tube Radio Set. This is the Model 55 C Kiel Table made by Atwater Kent! The tubes are present as is the power cord. It has been tested and plays. This is a hard to find console/table unit that is full of life and function. The deco styling is wonderful and you have to look twice to believe that it's not just a piece of antique furniture. This fine set is certain to interest the the Vintage or Antique Radio buff.
The wood is in great shape with tight joints. The table top looks to have been refinished a long time ago but otherwise the table shows only minor scuffs and wear. There are two outlets built into the back legs and the top and front panels are hinged to exposed the interior and control panel. The panel has all of its knobs and switches. The dial is backlight and it rotates when the tuning knob is turned. This old timer has a metal chassis tag and an Atwater Kent label under the lid. It measures 37" wide by 29.5" tall by 25" deep.
