Here is a NICE piece of history you just don't see every day!
I have looked all over the internet & have not seen another radio like this for sale! Mfg'd by General Electric, this radio (model GB-44, serial G 8473) ran on batteies, unlike most antique/vintage radios that ran on electric! It is in GREAT condition, unfortunately I have no way of testing it, however by looking at its condition, it probably still works! In fact the only flaw that I really found on it was that the metal hardware that holds the leather strap on has discolored, maybe it will clean up fine? Measures 13 1/2"W x 8"D x 8 1/4"H. It looks all original, including the leather handle!
