1939 RCA Victor K-105 Antique Tube Radio

1939 RCA Victor K105 (Ch - RC-476).      This is the second of three radios I have had sitting in storage for a long time.   The look of this radio screams nostalgia.  What is really unusual is that RCA manufactured this to also connect to a television and a victrola.   See picture of the inputs in the back.

The woodwork is in good condition and the radio shows well.  A solid and heavy cabinet with a couple of deep scratches in the top and the trim on the front is partially missing.  The cabinet appears to be in much better shape than most items posted on eBay (my opinion).    The glass is in great shape and looks really sharp.   The grill cloth is fully in tack.     It contains all the tubes, electronic chassis and speaker.  The speaker cone appears to be all in tack.  One of the front knobs is missing.   The push button tuning switches do not move the needle but assume this can be fixed by someone with restoration knowledge.

Please look at all the pictures.

Three bands marked on the sides of the glass are:  A - Special Service (police, amateur, aircraft, etc.), B - Domestic and C - International

The knobs are labeled on the cabinet and read as follows from left to right:  1 Television - radio - victrola;  2 Power - Volume; 3 Tuning; 4 Range  A  B  C (for the bands as noted above).

The dial in the middle is the Tenna-vane which I guess is for the "RCA Victor 'Magic Antenna", the no-aerial antenna in the cabinet.

I have not powered up this radio for fear of damage as I have little knowledge in this area.       The ticket hanging off the chassis in the back is not a repair ticket.   It is a storage ticket which I thought was cool so I left it there.   Part of it reads:  " A. Santini & Sons Inc.  Firerproof Warehouses   The Orgininal Santini "  It has the address in the Bronx, N.Y.C. and the phone number Melrose 5 -3800.

I have priced this low to sell quickly.     I have this listed as "Local Pick Up".   However, if you wish to work with UPS or some carrier in the area, please let me know.

A classic radio for your collection! Here we have a great old Vacuum Tube Radio Set. This is the Model 55 C Kiel Table made by Atwater Kent! The tubes are present as is the power cord. It has been tested and plays. This is a hard to find console/table unit that is full of life and function. The deco styling is wonderful and you have to look twice to believe that it's not just a piece of antique furniture. This fine set is certain to interest the the Vintage or Antique Radio buff.

The wood is in great shape with tight joints. The table top looks to have been refinished a long time ago but otherwise the table shows only minor scuffs and wear. There are two outlets built into the back legs and the top and front panels are hinged to exposed the interior and control panel. The panel has all of its knobs and switches. The dial is backlight and it rotates when the tuning knob is turned. This old timer has a metal chassis tag and an Atwater Kent label under the lid. It measures 37" wide by 29.5" tall by 25" deep. Vtg Antique Fada 1000 Bullet Radio Catalin Restored

We have just finished fully restoring this beauty both inside and out. The original back and the clear dial cover were missing, so they have been replaced along with a modern ac cord. The electronics have been serviced as needed. The radio is now in perfect working order and picks up AM stations well with no hum or scratchy controls, ready for many more decades of service.

The cabinet has some cracks that have developed around the dial cover that carry through to the bottom plate of the radio. There is some unevenness to the color on one side. Without these issues, this radio would sell for $1200-$1500. Otherwise, all cosmetics are good to excellent. The handle works well, the knobs are original and our price reflects the radio's current condition.

This is a rare opportunity to own one of the most collectible radios available.

Most antique radios you find on the internet have been dusted off, plugged in to check for any sound, then offered for sale as "vintage working radios". Since repairing and restoring vintage electronics is our specialty, we provide a whole different service.

Each component we offer is first thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Then all functions are tested and repaired as needed. Bad parts, weak tubes, stretched belts and damaged power cords are replaced, missing knobs are found, missing cosmetic parts are replaced. Sometimes the cabinets are fully refinished, and sometimes they only need a good polish. The unit is plugged in and left to run for 48 hours, then all functions are re-tested.

ARVIN portable tube battery antique retro AM old radio

Up for auction is this late 40's Arvin AM 5 tube radio. This radio is clean but it has some surface rust and scuffs in the steel and aluminum case. The volume/tuning knobs operate smoothly. The carrying handle is in good condition and strong but there is a split in the leather at the center. This radio plays great with plenty of volume and strong reception. The tone is great with smooth tube type bass. The radio will not turn off, the volume knob clicks and the power indicator scale changes to indicate off but it will not turn off, it must be unplugged to turn it off. This radio is a three way type, it will operate off of both AC, DC mains or batteries. This radio requires the old type 90 volt battery and the batteries are not included. This is a big portable radio, it mesaures approximately 10" tall, 12" wide and 5" front to back. It weighs a around 10 pounds. The model number is 250-P. This radio could be repainted to look like new or just enjoyed as it is. If you have any questions, feel free to send email. A classic radio for your collection!

Here we have a great old Vacuum Tube Radio Set. The specific model of this radio is unknown but it one of the RARE RADIOS made by Graybar! If you could tell us anything about it we would love to hear from you! The power cord is in need of attention and it is unknown if it powers on. It does have two of the hard to find #45 tubes in it. This is a parts or repair set that is certain to interest the the Vintage or Antique Radio buff. There are many sources on the internet that offer parts and repair services so maybe you can bring this one back to life and give it a voice again!

Featuring fancy wood trim and moldings, the cabinet features hinged doors on the front that hide the controls. It has some peeling and chips in the veneer but otherwise is in good shape with tight corners. It is really clean under the cabinet doors and overall, it has a wonderful deco flare to it!  The cloth speaker cover is in place as is the wonderful fancy scrollwork that covers it. The dial cover is missing but the dial does turn when the tuning knob is rotated. This old timer measures 27.5" wide by 33" tall by 16.5" deep. It is very large and heavy so Local Pickup Only please from our store in Chesterton IN, 46304.
