Antique Atwater Kent Model 60 Radio w/ Type F4A Speaker

Up for your consideration is Antique Atwater Kent Model 60 Radio w/ Type F-4-A Speaker.

The Atwater Kent Radio Catalog from 1929 states, "In appearance, the Model 60 in the same as Model 5, but it has certain additions to the electrical assembly inside which add very considerably to the range and selectivity of this set, making it of particular value for use where distance getting is essential, where an inside antenna only is possible, or in congested broadcasting districts.

The Model 60 comprises Three Stages of Tuned Radio Frequency Amplification, using Three Screen-grid Tubes, a Detector, and Two Stages of Special Audio Amplification, the second audio stage employing Two Power Tubes in a "double audio" arrangement. The set is designed for use with 110-120 volt, 60 cycle Alternating Current."

This radio has not been tested due to the lack of an antenna, I was told that it is in working condition though. It has been plugged in and all of the tubes light up. The tuning indicator needs to be adjusted. This radio is in good overall condition and measures 6 1/4"H x 20 1/2"W x 10 1/4"D. Thank you for looking.

We try to describe the overall condition of the item. Please take a look at all the photos as the item is sold as is, and it is understood that with all items this age it will not be perfect. This is why we put so many photos on, as a photo is worth a thousand words. Thanks for looking and take a look at all of our other listings!
