1941 Antique Vtg Philco Model 41-220 2 Band AM Radio Beautiful Orig Wood Cabinet

This is a classic Philco 5-tube radio in good working condition. The model number is 41-220 and it was manufactured in 1941. It receives AM and 1 shortwave "police" band.

The radio is in great condition for its age. The wood cabinet has it's original finish with very few defects. The front has a few dark spots and 2 spots where someone has filled in some veneer loss with a reddish wax. No major damage, the sides and top are in great shape. The original knobs are present, the handle is in good shape. The dial face is bright and shiny, the lettering is all intact, the dial cover is clear and clean. The cabinet has been freshly cleaned and polished.

The radio has been inspected and tested, and is working beautifully. In the interest of safety, we gave the radio a new AC cord. A couple of capacitors were replaced. The tubes were tested and all of them tested in the new range. The radio warms up quickly and the stations come in loud and clear. The tuning knob and the dial tracking are both functioning smoothly, and volume control and all switches are functioning smoothly as well. There is no hum or scratchy sound to the controls. We've played the radio for weeks with no problems. Picks up tons of stations on all bands here in Northern Virginia. It will be properly packed for safe arrival.

A classic and fun radio to use and display!

Measures: 12" wide x 7" high (excluding handle) x 6-1/2" deep.
